Stages of Child Development

There are many different types of stages a child experiences from birth to adolescence; normal, social-emotional and intellectual. These stages are also divided according to age group; early child years, middle childhood and adolescence.

Though the boundaries of those stages shift over time as researchers find new understandings of how a children develop as the times changes.

Early Childhood - from birth to 8 years
